This isn't a website built by scientists or doctors about ADHD. It's built by someone with it — for everyone else who has it too.

Unfiltered was created by Max Lawrence — entrepreneur, ADHD coach, and someone who spent the better part of four decades wondering why the world felt like it was designed for a brain he didn't have.

Max was diagnosed with ADHD in his mid-forties. By that point he'd been in business for thirty years — building things, losing things, hyperfocusing brilliantly, burning out spectacularly, and doing it all over again. Like most late-diagnosed adults, the diagnosis didn't feel like a revelation so much as a key turning in a lock that had been stuck his entire life.

What changed everything wasn't the diagnosis itself. It was his sons.

When his boys were identified as having ADHD, something shifted. He became determined — in the way that only an ADHD brain can become determined, which is to say completely, obsessively, all-consumingly — to understand this condition deeply enough that his children wouldn't have to learn it the hard way. The way he had.

He spent years reading research papers. Qualified as an ADHD coach. And began working with ADHD adults and young people — not just the one ADHD brain he'd always had access to (his own), but dozens of them. Hundreds.

What that gave him was something most people with ADHD never get: a thirty-thousand foot view.


Most of us experience ADHD through ourselves, and maybe a friend or two, and the internet. We rarely sit with another person who truly understands — not because they've read about it, but because they've lived it from the inside. Coaching changed that. Every client brought a new version of the same story: different symptoms, different struggles, different strengths, but the same fundamental experience of being a mind that doesn't quite fit the world as it's been arranged.

And from that came a realisation: the most valuable thing the ADHD community could have isn't another clinical resource. It's each other.

Not a diagnostic tool. Not a substitute for professional support. Just a resource built by ADHD minds, for ADHD minds, with the intention of taking you from wherever you're starting — whether that's newly diagnosed, decades in, or still just beginning to ask questions — towards a life that actually works for the brain you have.

The InToCalm™ Method

Twenty years ago, Max developed something he calls the InToCalm™ Method — a practical system designed to help ADHD brains get on top of time management and communication.

What he discovered, and what has stayed with him ever since, is that the real value wasn't the time management itself. It was what he calls the cascade effect.

When an ADHD person repeatedly misses deadlines, forgets commitments, or fails to follow through, the world responds — reasonably, but painfully. Comments build up. Disappointment accumulates. And without anyone quite intending it, the ADHD person begins to internalise a story about themselves: that they're unreliable. That they let people down. That they're not quite enough.

This is how ADHD quietly dismantles self-esteem — not through one catastrophic failure, but through thousands of small ones. Max calls these microfailures. And they add up.

The InToCalm™ Method was built to stop that cycle. What clients discovered — often to their surprise — was that learning to manage their time wasn't just about being on time. It was about repairing relationships. Rebuilding trust. And, perhaps most powerfully, beginning to like themselves again.

Where Max is Focused Now

In 2026, Max's attention has shifted to something he believes is the most significant development in the history of ADHD: artificial intelligence.

For as long as most of us can remember, the ADHD brain has been the underdog. The world was built by and for neurotypical minds — structured, routine-based, punctual, linear. The demands of organised modern life have always played to neurotypical strengths and punished ours.

That is changing.

The skills that AI most needs from humans — creative thinking, pattern recognition across domains, non-linear problem solving, the ability to make unexpected connections — are the exact skills that ADHD brains have always had in abundance. For the first time, the tools exist to handle the parts we've always struggled with, freeing us to do the parts we were built for.

Max believes this is the ADHD community's moment. And getting that message out — clearly, honestly, and loudly — is what ADHD Peeps is here to do.
